Tuesday, 13th February - Goodbye Angel
I only slept an hour after writing up my last (and extremely long) journal entry. I went to bed at close to 7am and Samantha came over at 8am.
I was a zombie for obvious reasons :zombie:.

We just watched a few episodes of Elfen Lied before we got picked up by Quynh Giao at 9am.

Quynh Giao drove us to Sunset Restaurant to have breakfast there. All we can eat for $10 lol. We all loved our little potato gems which are just like mini hash browns. Not a healthy breakfast but oh well xD.

After breakfast Quynh Giao took us home and gave us red packets for luck. It didn't sink in that perhaps this was the last time I'd see Quynh Giao in months. *sigh*

I was so dead when I got back home, Samantha watched some more Elfen Lied and I just fell asleep on me bed.

At around 12:20pm Erin came over to pick us up. We were going to go see Angel off at the airport since she was flying to Melbourne today.
Angel was late there, of course lol.
When she finally arrived we went to the souvenir store and just looked around. I bought myself a black "Darwin" shirt xD. I wish they made I <3 Darwin shirts.

Soon it was time for Angel to board the plane. I wasn't quite so sad about seeing her off this time because we all know that we'll see each other soon again anyway :).

Erin took us home then Samantha just watched some more Elfen Lied while I still crashed on my bed and napped xD. Then her mummy picked her up so I just slept some more after that.

Kae-jenn came over to practise at 4pm and I wanted to stay up and give him a sort of free lesson but I was just so tired, I just slept while he practised.

In the evening I went to Tracy Village to have dinner with uncle Richard, auntie Theresa, Timothy and mum. It was just a quiet evening eating food (that is comparatively heaps better than the Trailer Boat Club lol).

Wednesday, 14th February - GARGH! IT'S MY LAST DAY!
Woke up at 7am (after sleeping at 4am lol). At 8am I went to Centrelink to sort some things out then I went to the MVR to renew my driver's licence. That's all I've done today so far.
After this journal entry I'm disconnecting my internet then cleaning up my room, print some stuff off at uni and yeah....don't know what's gonna happen tonight.

Tomorrow I fly to Adelaide. I'm not so terrified and sad about it now.
In the morning I am going to have breakfast at Sunset Restaurant with whoever's still in Darwin then I might chill out at home before going to the airport and zooooooom! Within a few hours I'll be in Adelaide.

THE INVASION OF DARWIN IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE! NYAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :evillaugh: (Yeah, Adam and Tom....you better watch out lol).

Yep yep....the next time you all hear from me...I will be in Adelaide!

Oh yeah! Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

Okay.....I will bid you all a short farewell now. I hope to be back online soon xD.
Take care! Love you all!

Love Hui-Min

Last Week in Darwin (to be continued)

Time started: 2:37am
Place: My room (soon to be my mother's in 2 days)
Listening to: "Isle Of Her" - Klaxons
Weather: Humid
Mood: Separation anxiety
First of all I will warn you guys that this is probably the last entry I will write in Darwin. I will not have access after today, I fly to Adelaide on Thursday 15th and I don't know when I will get net access again so yeah, don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a while...
WARNING: This journal entry is EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEMELY LOOOOOOOONG! (No surprises eh? Well it's longer than it normally is, okay?!).

Thursday, 8th February - Stranger Than Fiction
I worked at Subway from 8:30am to 4pm. Samantha met up with me after work and we went back to my place and I made her watch a few episodes of Elfen Lied. Surprisingly she wasn't grossed out by it lol. We were gonna have dinner and watch a movie tonight with the Wells. Eliza was supposed to come too but unfortunately she couldn't come for particular reasons :(.

I taught Mila for half an hour while Samantha just sat in my room watching some more Elfen Lied to kill time waiting for our time to head out.

At 6:00pm we got picked up by Kylie and Joanna to go to Fasta Pasta for dinner. We got quite full with our delicious entree sized meals.

We finished our meals at quarted to 8 and our movie didn't start til 9:10pm so Kylie drove us around East Point and town. Then we came back to the cinemas to watch "Stranger Than Fiction". I didn't expect great things from this movie but oh my goodness...THIS MOVIE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Throughout the movie I couldn't help analysing it (dang English Studies) but I enjoyed it the entire way. I loved every minute of it! The movie was so clever and imaginative. It was so funny and so beautifully done. It easily made it to one of my favourite movies of all time.

So yeah...for those who haven't seen it, it's about this guy who hears this woman's voice in his mind who narrates everything he does very accurately. Doesn't sound interesting? I don't care! YOU HAVE TO GO WATCH IT!

After our movie it was pouring with rain so Kylie quickly dropped Sammy and me home.
Then as I was drifting off to sleep I received the most random SMS from Eliza saying "What's that site that had 'They're taking the hobbits to Isengard' called?" and from then on we messaged each other back and forth for an hour and a half lol trying to figure out when we were both free at the same time so we could see each other.

We then finally made an agreement for me to visit her on Monday night at her work place. After that I went to bed x).

Friday, 9th February - Trailer Boat Club Farewell Dinner
Tonight we all had a farewell dinner at the trailer boat club and it was great that we could organise a little get together before the lot of us scattered to various parts of Australia for uni.

Emily rocked up at 6pm and she was stressing a lot about being late to dinner because she had to pick up 3 more people besides me and we had half an hour to get to the Trailer Boat Club which was at the other side of Darwin lol.

I was amused with her being frustrated with her automatic car since automatic cars tend to accelerate very slowly lol. We managed to get to the Trailer Boat Club at 6:35 which isn't too bad lol. Most of the people were there before us though and kept messaging Emily while she was driving us there asking where the hell she was since she was the one who organised the get-together xD.

We all sat down in our reserved seats and just chatted away (and waiting for the late arrivals) until the sun set. I took a few pretty photos of the sky (as you can see in my gallery) and just you know, I have done no editing of the images whatsoever besides cropping the picture and putting borders on them. I took a lot of photos of everyone too and when I can be bothered I will upload a bunch of photos onto my msn space (which I haven't done for a while so the latest photos on there are the Christmas ones hehe).
We all ordered big meals (we didn't mean to....they were just served really big O_o;; ). I had the HUGEST Veal parmigiana. Not only was it huge...it was also FERAL! The entire piece of meat was ruddy TENDONS! It was NOT NICE! I couldn't cut it, or chew it or ANYTHING! It was just huge strands of tendons stuck together.........:puke:

Even though my dinner was crap I had a marvellous time because it was ages since I was out with my lovely bunch of high school friends :).

Some of us later went to walk on the beach (which the Trailer Boat Club was RIGHT ON) and I think a lot of us tried to take in every moment at the beach as much as we could. A lot of my friends are studying in Melbourne and they claim they don't have/have the crappiest beaches so they missed the beach so much. I know when I leave I'm going to miss the beach...and the sky...and the humidity (strangely enough)...and the trees...and the quiet life...it's...it's....my home!!! :cries: I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After our walk on the beach (it was completely dark at the time) half of us said our goodbyes and drove to Cool Spot for ice-cream. I had my favourite flavour, Mint Choc-chip of course.

After our ice-cream Joanna drove Samantha and me to town, we went to Coles and I bought myself a 1.25L bottle of Green Ice Tea and Joey bought herself a raspberry chubba-chubb (it's a type of lollipop). Then we just had a drive around Marrara looking for this empty carpark but we saw a crash site of this public bus instead. We didn't know what on earth to do so Joey drove Samantha home at around 11pm. Then I thought we should go say hi to Scott who was having his birthday party at the time so we drove there to say hello. I just sat around with people I didn't know (except for Scott, Kylie and Joanna) for 40 minutes then Joey and I got bored so Joey drove me home and yeah...that was my night x).

Saturday, 10th February - Mum's Birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUMMY!!!!!!! :cake:

Today's the last day I give my students piano lessons. How sad :cries:. 10am I taught Mila. She was sad and said that she was going to miss me a lot :(. I only had her for a few months but she's improved a lot I reckon. She's such a sweet little girl. She was trying to have as much fun as she could and so was I. At the end of the lesson I videotaped her with my camera and she put on a stunning performance for me ^^. I will pass her on to Angelina's sister, Felicia since Mila's too young for my piano teacher, Quynh Giao to teach. I hope Mila and Felicia will get along and Mila will continue to improve and develop her piano playing.
When I said goodbye to her I gave her a big hug and a kiss goodbye. The poor thing cried...*sigh*. Hopefully I will see her again in the July holidays :).

At 11am Dad picked me up and we went out to have lunch at the city. First I bought mum a whole duck at this Chinese Restaurant so we could have it for dinner for her birthday. Then we just had rice dishes at Zen Restaurant.
After our lunch dad dropped me off home so I can drop off the duck then he dropped me off at Casuarina so I could get Mum's birthday present.

I got mum a gorgeous Family photo album that had a little house and you could open its windows and doors and everything ^^. Then I went to get a photo of her and me printed with a USB device but the instant printing machine was down. I was so disappointed...lucky when I got home I found an already printed out copy of mum and I so I used that photo instead (and it's her favourite photo instead).

At 3pm I taught Melissa and she looked glum (I guess it's because it was her last lesson with me...*sigh*). I was glad she practised though because the past few weeks she slacked off a bit but she really impressed me today. She showed a greater dynamic range in her pieces and the notes were tidier too :). I hope Quynh Giao will approve of her when she teaches her.
At the end of the lesson I videotaped Melissa's playing too. I think I stressed out the poor girl lol. After that she presented me with presents. I sooooo did not expect that! She gave me a quilt and pillow covers (very handy!) and a plush doggie . I felt like crying...I didn't get my students anything...I think I'll round then up in the July holidays and shout them for lunch :D.

At 4pm I taught Kae-jenn and as soon as he came in he immediately went "WAAAAAAAH! THIS IS OUR LAST LESSON!!!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE GOING!!!!!!! YOU'RE LEAVING ME!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!" :cries: and meh.......I WAS ALREADY TEARY!!! It was really hard for Kae-jenn to focus today which is a once off thing. I guess he was upset. He got really attached to me the past year of me teaching him. He became my little brother. He made me this gorgeous little cardboard box which apparently took him all day (according to his mother) and inside he put a little jade dragon charm. It was beautiful! Wah! I didn't know sweet little boys still existed in this world! I hope Kae-jenn stays the same as he grows up!!!!
Yep, you guessed it, after the lesson I videotaped his playing. He stayed back another hour just playing and gossiping with me then begged me to let him come over and practise and see me off before I leave. I insisted of course.

At 6pm mum and I went to Uncle Angelo's house to have dinner. We had our duck (which mum overcooked) and my nummy Ravioli which was of course NOT overcooked x). Our dinner was quickly done. Then mummy opened her present from me and loved it :). She also got red packets with lots of money.
For the rest of the night we just watched TV and when we got tired, we went home.

Sunday, 11th February - Last shift at Subway
Mih, I wasn't pleased that my last shift was with someone I only worked with once before for 2 hours. My work buddy was Ben for tonight. I thought it would've been nice if I got to work with someone I worked with nearly every day. I thought it was going to be a night of little conversation and awkwardness. HOW WRONG WAS I?!?! Ben was heaps cool!

Anyway, before we get to that, Jake was still there when I started work. He decided to hang around to say goodbye to me. That's so nice of him ^^. I gave him a little hug and he begged me to give him a little kiss on the cheek too but nuuuuu! >_<;;
But yeah, I worked with Jake everyday ever since I started training and we always sang and did the chicken dance together lol :giggle: . He was lots of fun x).

Anyhoo...as soon as I walked in the door, Ben handed this half drunken energy drink to me and said "TRY THIS!". It didn't look like I had a choice so I tried some. It woke me up for a few seconds lol. Poor Ben was on the energy drinks all night because his shift today was 11:30am - 9pm. Mine was only 4pm - 8:30pm.
Turned out Ben was a big Billy Joel fan x). Hehe, he played his Billy Joel music over the stereo all night and we both sang all night :D. Then we talked about our lives and yeah, it was quite interesting listening to each other talk about ourselves. He absolutely adored his girlfriend which I think is absolutely gorgeous ^^. Not many young blokes like him nowadays. I wish I got more shifts with this guy...not only was he normal (unlike Jake making me do the chicken dance) but he was also not boring xD.
I found out that he was in Danmei's physics class last year. Hehe...I am going to ask Danmei about Ben next time I speak to her x).
Anyhoo, Ben and I just chilled out all night because it was a quiet night. We also had a bit of a sword fight with the mop and broom (and hoorah for the surveillance cameras embbedded all over the restaurant lol) which was fun x). Hehe....what a way to have my last shift at Subway eh? We never muck around like this...it's good that I got to have this kind of fun for my last shift. Don't get me wrong, we got our work done too *shifty eyes*.
If I come back to work at Subway in July I am gonna try to get night shifts with this guy! HE'S FUN! Lol x). He's the only one out of all the subway employees I've met who doesn't do drugs too lol. I WAS WORKING IN A DRUGGIE ZONE! OHNOES! D;

Anyhoo...yeah, my last shift at Subway rocked :boogie:.

Monday, 12th February - Friends :)
Emily woke me up nice and early at 8:30am (lol, I know it's not that early xD) by rocking up my house while I was still in bed x). I immediately got up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, washed my face and got kidnapped by her lol. We drove to McDonald's and ordered hot cakes before driving to the beach where we would eat our hot cakes happily x).

We sat in this park Emily and I haven't been to for years. It was nice. We just sat on the concrete benches eating our hotcakes while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. It was so relaxing. We also realised that it was going to be the last time Emily and I were going to spend time with each other before we scooted off with our interstate uni lives :cries:.

We munched up our hot cakes in no time so we walked over to the jetty and just enjoyed the lovely sea breeze. We talked about planning our futures such as getting pregnant together (sad, I know lol) and all that random daydreaming stuff hehe.

The clouds were nice and fluffy on this beautiful Monday morning but unfortunately I didn't bring my camera so I couldn't take any photos of it T_T.

After our brief outing at the beach Emily drove me home.

At 10:30am I met up with my Uncle Richard at K-mart to print out some of my great aunt's funeral photos. I ran into Madeleine as I was printing the photos. It was great to see her, it's been months. I didn't get to talk to her much though. I hope I see her again within a few months time. Maddi's a very nice girl :).

At noon I had subway for lunch with mummy. Jake and Rodney were working and they were trying to convince me to stay and work with them lol x). *sigh* They also said that they were gonna miss me. Waaaaaaaah....I've been said that a lot this past week. It's making me really depressed :depressed:. I really really really really REALLY don't want to leave T_T. My life is so good here...WHY DOES CHARLES DARWIN UNIVERSITY HAVE TO BE SO CRAP?! *whinges*

I arrived back home at 1pm and Erin came over for a little while to give me back this Faerie necklace she had off me for about 2 years. Two years ago, Erin and I decided to have a bit of a necklace swap. She had a faerie necklace as well and I don't know why but we just swapped necklaces. Unfortunately I haven't seen her necklace for a long time so I don't know where it is T_T. I KNOW IT'S IN THIS BOX, BUT WHERE THAT BOX IS, IS A MYSTERY! Waaaaaaaaaah! I hope I will find her necklace one day T_T.
Pooey....Erin only got to stay over for about half an hour. Her mum came pretty soon to pick her up again *grumbles*.

At 6pm dad decided to kidnap me to take me out to dinner. Mum was not pleased because she really wanted me to have dinner with her at home these last few nights I remain in Darwin. Dad really wanted me to come though because he was leaving for Malaysia the next day. We went to Saigon restaurant and had a quiet evening around town. We mostly talked about model cars and very non-interesting stuff but it was still nice to be around dad.

When he drove me home, and I was getting out of the car, it only struck me then that this was the very last time I would see dad for a long time...I burst into tears after thinking about that. Then my mother got pissed off at me for crying and told me how pathetic I was which didn't help. She was saying it's all my fault that I chose to move interstate and I should just get over it. To a degree she's right but seriously...I was emotional and in tears....not to mention I only had 3 days left to be with her...she could've been a bit nicer to me, right?
I hid in my room to cry for a bit, depressed and slightly angry. I missed my dad the moment I walked out of the car. Then I tried to calm myself down and went back outside and sat with mum. She didn't talk. She gave me a dagger then completely ignored me afterwards...*sigh* I give up...
Kylie arrived at 10pm to pick me up. I left the house trying to say goodbye but was still given the cold shoulder. Far out...I don't know what on earth I did to offend my mother that much...is it wrong to miss my dad? I'd cry heaps more when I say goodbye to mum! She knows that! She's jealous or something? I mean...what the hell....THEY'RE BOTH MY PARENTS FOR GOODNESS SAKES....I WAS GOING TO LEAVE THEM...AND SHE'S ANGRY AT ME FOR SHOWING THE SLIGHTEST EMOTION FROM SAYING GOODBYE TO MY OWN FATHER WHO I HARDLY SEE MY ENTIRE LIFE!

Okay...I'll stop bitching about mum now...
Kylie, Joey and I drove to the airport and as soon as we walked in, we bumped into Eliza straight away. The purpose of us being there was to visit her at work. She worked at Viva La Body at the airport.
First Eliza gave us hand massages which was very nice indeed ^^. My hands still smell nice from the massaging lotion.
There wasn't much to do at first so we just sat around talking about random stuff and catching up with each other (because we haven't seen Eliza for YONKS!).

At 12:30am Eliza took a break and we went to Red Roosters to eat. We sat and ate our food and said the stupidest things. Eliza was eating a chicken flayva wrap and then it unwrapped itself.
Eliza: "My flayva decided to undress itself.....STRIP SUB!"
*we burst into hysterical laughter for some strange reason*
Eliza: "Would you like dressing?"
Kylie: "Do you know what the last one did?"
*more hysterical laughter*
Hey...leave us alone.....we were tired lol. It was late xD.
Mih....I'm going to miss these crazy times. It's been so long since we mucked around like this...and it's going to be a long time yet to have another one of these silly moments with them again...
Eliza reckons things aren't going to be the same at uni after I'm gone...I don't think that's true...her, Kylie, Kyle and the other would get along just as well as we have last year. They can do it without me. All I do is tell them when stuff is due and what to study for lol. I don't see how that catalyses our fun and strange moments. Still it makes me incredibly sad hearing things like that said to you...
Oh, I feel so horrible about leaving.... >_<;;

These last few days I've been asking myself more and more why on earth I am leaving Darwin? I am seriously getting depressed about it...

After eating we went back to the store and took some group photos. We had a lot of fun and the 3 hours flew by quite quickly. It was fun keeping Eliza company at work :).

We all left the airport at close to 2am and now I am back here writing this long journal entry about my last week in Darwin.

Today (it's now 6am lol) I am going to spend the day with Quynh Giao, Angel (then see her off at the airport) and Samantha. Tonight I plan to have a movie night with Kylie and mum and hopefully mum's not in an unpleasant mood.

On Wednesday I plan to have fish and chips at the wharf but I don't think it will happen.

On Thursday morning I'm planning to have breakfast with everyone at Sunset restaurant at Skycity before going to the airport to bid my final farewell to my family and friends and Darwin. Then within 3 hours and 35 minutes after I depart, I will arrive in Adelaide and begin my new life...I will see Jarrad and Aaron for the first time in a very long time and meet Ryan for the very first time. Hopefully I still won't be depressed by then otherwise the guys are going to have a very hard time with me...

I will write about this the next time I have net access.

In the mean time...I will talk to you all again later...in ADELAIDE!

Take care everyone, love you!

Wish me the best of luck!

Little Harrison and more lunches x)

Time started: 7:34pm
Place: My room

Weather: Still
Mood: Sleepy
Friday 2nd, Little Harrison
I got picked up by Erin with Angelina at around 9am and we drove straight to Humpty Doo to visit our English teacher, Ms Sparrow. It took us about half an hour to drive there but we finally got there and found her house quite easily.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...................Harrison (her new born son) was so cuuuuuute!!!
He pulled the funniest faces...it was just beautiful ^^. Angel gave Ms Sparrow a Keepsake book and I bought Harrison a plush blue elephant that rattled. I took a few photos of her and Harrison and we just talked about him and some other stuff for about half an hour. Pity Angel had to be home and I had to go to work by 11pm so we had to leave pretty soon.
According to the Subway clock I was right on time lol (even though my watch said I was 10 minutes late).
Anyway...it was nice to see Ms Sparrow again and see her lovely new bundle of joy ^^.

Saturday 3rd, Lunch at Sunset Restaurant
At 5am I got a message from Ryan saying "Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day, oh what a beautiful morning, I'm so stuffed it's quite gay!" and I was not happy coz I was WOKEN UP! Lol. So I replied "Oh what a terrible morning, you got me out of bed, I'm tired and I'm yawning, message someone else instead!". Basically him and Jarrad were about to drive off to Adelaide...

At 12:30, mum and I had lunch with our boss and other workmates of Fox & Hound Cafe Inn and Ming Court Restaurant at Sunset Restaurant at Skycity. Sylvia (our boss) bought me a wallet as a farewell and good luck present for me to use in Adelaide. That was very nice of her. She shouted us all the lunch too which is also very nice of her.
I felt nostalgic being back at Skycity though. It just reminded me of the time I worked there and killed my left arm carrying the plates. Now that I was dining there, I was more conscientious of the waiters that worked there. I could see them hiding the pain as they carried our plates away. X_x;; ugh...the pay was good working there but hell, it was a hard job. I felt for the waiters...
Well, lunch was nice, and it was nice to spend quiet time with my workmates rather than rushing around serving customers at the restaurant or cafe.

At night I was waiting for a message from the boys saying they arrived in Adelaide safely but they didn't message me so I was getting restless. I sent them a message around midnight saying "ARE YOU THERE YET? ARE YOU THERE YET? ARE YOU THERE YET?". No reply :(

Sunday 4th
At 6:30am I got a message from Ryan saying they arrived there and I thought to myself "wow...it took them 25 hours to drive there :O"

During the day I just worked at Subway all day...nothing special x).

At night I called the guys up and it turned out they actually arrived there at 9pm last night and I woke them up when I messaged them at midnight. GRRRRR! WELL IT'S THEIR FAULT FOR NOT MESSAGING ME IN THE FIRST PLACE! :x

Monday 5th, Lunch with dad
Dad picked me up at 11am and took me to the city to have lunch with him. We went to the same ol' Chinese Restaurant and had rice dishes as per usual. Hmm...we didn't talk about much today. Pity...it's gonna be the last few moments I have with dad before I leave. Actually he leaves for Malaysia before I head for Adelaide. *Sigh* I was hoping he'd say goodbye to me but meh...oh well.

Tuesday 6th
What have I done today? I just packed up my junk all day...took me a while. Haven't done much today...that's about it...

Oh, and it's Scott Randall's 21st Birthday today. Happy birthday, Scott! :cake:

Angel's Party/Lunch with Dad/Movie Nights/Beach!

Time started: 9:43pm
Place: My room
Listening to: "Turquoise Hexagon Sun" - Boards of Canada
Weather: Humid
Mood: Who cares...

Saturday
Today was Angel's birthday party. Emily picked me up at 11am and we went to Casuarina to shop for her presents. We got her a squishy blue flower pillow, a blue glow stick, a little blue friends forever notebook (yes, we were trying out on a blue theme since her favourite colour is blue), all in a blue gift bag. I decided to break the blue theme though. I went for a yellow Elmo PJ top since she adores Elmo.

At 12:30 we met up with Angel, Erin and Brentley for lunch. Surprisingly Anton was there to (up from Melbourne). That was a nice surprise. He came up for Angel's birthday which I thought was very sweet.
We went to busy bee to meet up with Anand and I bought my lunch there. I was glad to hear that Anand got into Medicine at James Cook University in Queensland after his second attempt of year 12. He's young enough to be in Year 12 this year anyway so yeah... x).

Soon a whole bunch of us turned up in Casuarina. I can't be bothered listing everyone's names in lol but it was nearly everyone who was invited to the party.
We all had lunch together and by 2pm we all drove to the Planet.

I harassed Eliza via text messaging for her to turn up just for a little while to meet everyone and it turned out that Eliza had to call me on our mobiles while she was driving for directions on how to get to the Planet. Eventually she finally got there and it was the first time I've seen her in ages. We raced each other the car racing games and she won of course lol. That was thoroughly amusing and lots of fun though. Soon Kyle turned up with his girlfriend, Kate. Kate seemed nice. I'm glad Kyle found someone who was nice ^^ and I was also glad to see him since after the exams too.
Anyway...we soon played a game of bowling. I came last out of everyone lol. How amusing x). It was also amusing when Lani got two strikes in a row from pure fluke (or so she says...I bet it's skills!).

When we finished our game of bowling we headed back to Casuarina to watch "Happy Feet" at the movies. Overall I thought it was a good movie. The penguins were so cute singing and dancing. Parts of it were a bit lame but it's a kid's movie...I liked it :).

The movie finished and some of us went home but a lot of us went to Angel's house to have dinner there. Angel's mum's cooking was brilliant as usual.
We sat around in the lounge room and watched "Hoodwinked" on DVD. The yodelling goat was awesome xD.

After the DVD we went into her room and just sat around talking to each other for a couple of hours. I went home at midnight.

Monday
This morning I booked my flight for Adelaide. I booked it for Thursday, 15th February Departing 12:05pm (DRW) and arriving in Adelaide 16:40 (ADL).
In the afternoon Dad took me out for lunch at the city. We just had our usual Chinese food then we walked around in Cas before he took me home.
It's also Angel's birthday today so I messaged her to wish her a happy birthday.

Tuesday
Dad took me out for lunch again but this time with Uncle Wong. Again we had Chinese food and I had the usual questions asked about what I am doing at university yada yada yada.
He dropped me home at 1pm. At 2, Emily came over. We first went to Casuarina and we managed to bump into Angel, Anton and Felicia. We didn't talk to them much though because they were in a hurry to go somewhere so we left them alone.

Later we rented "Lady in the Water", "Thank You for Smoking", "Snakes on a Plane" and "Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest" from Video Ezy.
We went back to my place and just watched the dvd's for the rest of the night. Lady in the Water was beautiful. It was very imaginative and I was amused at how scared Emily was with the grass dogs xD. Thank You for Smoking was funny! It was very clever and how Emily and I as the audience managed to feel empathetic for who we would consider a bad guy in real life. Oh the joys of films and English studies...
Snakes on a Plane...what can I say? We borrowed it to see how lame it would be. Surprisingly it was quite good (for snakes on a plane lol). It was lame at some parts but it was hilarious and they did quite a lot with the plot. There's only so much you can do with snakes on a plane but they did a pretty good job! Yeah...for those people who were so convinced that Snakes on a Plane would be a very bad movie, go watch it and see how surprisingly alright it is lol. Hehe...actually, it's not a great movie but it's not bad either. Pirates of the Carribean 2 was funny too ^^. Johnny Depp is such a good actor.

Wednesday
During the evening I went around to Emily's place and her family took me and Abi's friends to the wharf for dinner. I just had fish and chips. It was the first time I've ever eaten at the wharf. I know...shame on me as a Darwinian never eating dinner at the wharf...I'm glad I had the opportunity before I migrate to Adelaide.
We bumped into Sara which was nice because it was her birthday so I got to say happy birthday to her in person. She was having a birthday dinner with her family.

After our dinner at the wharf we went back to Em's place and just watched "She's the Man". I think it was the 6th time I watched it but I still love it.

When we finished watching the movie, Emily took me home.

Thursday
This morning I woke up bright and early to have a jog around a park near by. I am still unfit...*pants*. It felt good though (a few hours after I had a rest anyway lol).

At 5:30pm, Jasmine, Meliana, and ~Bities were at Casuarina beach. We just sat in a rock pool playing around with the water and the sand. I was covering one of my legs with sand and decided I should try to build a witch castle on my leg so I had some sort of appendix sticking out of my leg. Then ~Bities said "You have a leg penis!" :/. Then my so called "leg penis" broke apart and I said "My penis chopped itself in half!". Then ~Bities took my camera and decided to video tape me with my "leg penis". She told me to stroke it...that was horrible...then she interviewed Jasmine asking "So...what do you think of Hui-Min's leg penis?". Jasmine responded "Well...it's...built for size...but..it's about quality over quantity!" and I was offended about her talking about my leg penis that way so I shouted "OH WHAT?!" and she said "BUT IT'S LUMPY! Who would want that?!" "But isn't that good for stimulation whatever you call it?" "Hey look, it's falling apart!" "See? Look! You broke my penis's heart!" Erin: "No, you masturbated too much so it fell apart!" *all the sand falls off my leg* "Look at it! You killed it! It's fallen apart! That's terrible!" *sighs contently* we are such normal, innocent people, aren't we? xD. Hahaha...we had a nice laugh out of that.
After that, we all went home. Hehe...what a nice walk at the beach that was x).

During the evening I watched the match with Roger Federer vs Andy Roddick. Of course in response to my last journal entry I go for Federer but Federer completely smashed Roddick and I couldn't help but feel sorry for the pouty arsed server. Ahh well...GO ROGER FEDERER!! I hope either he wins the Australian Open.

Now
It is now Friday 26th February which means IT'S AUSTRALIA DAY!!!

Emily came over during the evening and we just watched a DVD of AFI performing at Long Beach California. They seemed pretty good live and Emily was all emotional watching it because she's OBSESSED with AFI. I sang along with Emily while we watched the concert. It was enjoyable even though I didn't like AFI much.
I got a strange quote from her that night. "I want Hunter on my boob".

Tuesday
Today was the day I find out whether I'll be going to Adelaide or not.
I made plans with Emily and Stephen to walk to the beach and watch the sunset. It was Stephen's very last night in Darwin so I wanted to spend time with him properly before he leaves since there is a possibility that I will not see him for years. Emily arrived at my place just after 4:30 and we waited for Stephen who was supposed to come around that time too but he didn't turn up. At 10 past 5 we decided to drive to his place to see if he was home. First we picked up Jasmine because we thought it would be nice of her to tag along too.

It turned out that Stephen had to help his parents move the furniture around the house which was why he didn't turn up. He could've at least called though >:0. Well we kidnapped him anyway so we went to the beach :).
Since the universities offers were going to be released at 6pm and I was at the beach at the time I called Ryan on my mobile and asked him to check it for me. He wasn't too keen on doing that though but he saw how desperate I was of knowing ASAP so he cooperated x). I had to call him three times though because the server was busy for about 45 minutes.
While we were at the beach, Emily, Stephen, Jasmine and I just walked about 3 kilometres along the beach. So much for going to see the sunset...the entire sky was cloudy...*sigh*. Oh well. It was still really nice. The tide got our legs all wet and the sand felt great among the bottom of our feet. Dogs and children were everywhere of course and the sea breeze was as beautiful as ever. It was lovely. The beach is one of the things I will miss the most about Darwin...
Anyway...back to the offer business. Ryan finally logged in to my SATAC account and saw the university's verdict. I was itching to know. "Ryan...did I get in!?!?!" "I don't know...you tell me..." "RYAN! DID I GET IN OR NOT!" "*reads incredibly slowly* you have been offered a spot for course 3014 Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) at the University of Adelaide" *I was already screaming soon after he said the word "offered"*. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
I now know that my life is going to change! I am one step closer to my dream and life ambitions! Getting into this course in Adelaide was really important to me!
I felt so incredibly relieved! I felt incredibly happy for the rest of the night. Not even saying goodbye to Stephen made me sad...(horrible...I know...).
Actually...I lied...I was really sad when I gave him a final hug goodbye...:'(. I hope I will see him in a few months time. Mah...now I want to cry! :cries:

Emily came back to my place during the evening and we watched "V for Vendetta" on my laptop. I must say THIS IS ONE AWESOME FILM!!!! It's so beautifully done! The concept of the possible future just blew me away...I won't get into much detail because I don't know how to explain things in ways that make sense to people but THIS HAS DEFINITELY BECOME ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MOVIES!
After we finished watching it, it was 11pm so Emily went home and I went to bed.

Wednesday
This morning I went out for a jog for the first time in aaaaaaages and I AM SO INCREDIBLY UNFIT (but I felt great after I did it though...even though I felt a little sick in the stomach). It's no fun doing it alone though...I used to jog all the time with Danmei except she lives further away now so we don't do it anymore :(.
After my jog I just talked to Ryan about our living arrangements. I was feeling a little agitated though because I haven't heard from Eliza and I want to get things done like book the flight and sign the rental agreement contract but I can't really do those things without knowing what her decision is...
Eliza, if you're reading this...PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did my first night shift at Subway tonight. It was very nice and relaxing. I like this shift. All we do is wash and clean. No rushing around serving customers as fast as we can...it was only Ellie and me. I didn't know Ellie enough because she always did the night shifts but tonight I learnt that she was lots of fun and very sweet :). I have more night shifts up the roster now so WOOHOO!
However my fingers smell strongly like chlorine from work tonight...>_<;;

Anyway...tomorrow is my great aunt's funeral...
I will say that I am not quite so upset about her having passed away anymore because she has lived a good life, and life to the fullest. She got to blow her 90th birthday cake. She died peacefully. She never saw her death as an issue. In fact, I can imagine her having the most wonderful time where she is now. She sure knows how to have fun...

Congratulations to my friends who got great results for year 12 and who got accepted in the courses and universities they wanted to get in :).
To those who didn't get what they hoped...it's okay...there are plenty of opportunities. You will have them... just have faith. Don't give up!

 Love you all!

Piano students get together :)

Time started: 2:20pm
Place: My room
Listening to: "Live in Stereo" - Newsboys
Weather: Overcast
Mood: Could be better...
On Tuesday former students of Quynh Giao Hoffman went over to her place to get together and have a little party. I went to pick up Holly at 2:45 and Holly and I were the first ones to arrive at QG's house. Samantha is in Canberra so I took her plush seal there on her behalf. Soon Paul, Winnie and Halina arrived, shortly after Penny and Sophie came as well. Angelina was late....as usual....lol XD. We just sat around drinking fruit punch and eat chicken wings for a while. QG showed us a DVD of her playing the piano "Lieberstraum" by Franz Liszt at her friend's wedding. We laughed at how nervous she was lol xD. She played beautifully though...of course...
Paul performed his composition called "A Penguin Christmas". I had it on file. It's AWESOME! Paul is a GENIUS!!!

Soon Sophie had to leave, after she left we all gathered around the piano playing pop songs and singing woefully. Paul's voice stood up the most because it's so INCREDIBLY DEEP! We all brought our bathers to swim but we didn't go swimming at QG's pool at all. We spent the entire day just mucking around on the piano singing and having a great time. It was nice that we could get together. QG taped us performing and put it on DVD...how embarrassing...

I sound absolutely terrible when I am attempting to sing opera...my goodness...remind me to never attempt classical opera ever again!! Hahaha...

We had pizza for dinner. The pizza slices were the biggest I have EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. There was also a lot of oil because it dripped all over my hand...yuck... :S

Everyone left at around 8:30 and I stuck around to help clean up then left at 9. It was so nice to get together like this again. QG was glad that we were still capable of playing tunes on the piano after we concentrated so hard on our studies at high school and uni. I think after I finish my bachelor I might have a shot at doing a Lmus.A examination. That way I can have a Licenciated diploma instead of the Associates diploma I have now...Scary...

Anyhoo...that was our piano students get together party. Hopefully we'll have a second one when EVERYONE can come that way Samantha doesn't have to go as a plush seal lol.

Now for life in general...lately I've been feeling a bit depressed, lost and confused. I've been caught up in such a mess. Life is messy...I will not elaborate further...

Woo! New job and new laptop!

Time started: 8:32am
Place: My room

Weather: Light drizzle
Mood: A little sleepy
Thursday, 4th
Today I went over to Samantha's house to sleep over. I went over at around 6pm then we just mucked around on her minuscule 4GB hard drive computer (I'm surprised it runs...). Then we had dinner and compliments to Sam's mum for her lovely cooking :).
After dinner we just watched Naruto and Sauching (Sam's little sister) was a little confused since we started watching from episode 85 lol.
After watching a few episodes we just bummed around on msn again. Aaron was turning everything I said into a sexual invitation and even though it was degrading it was highly amusing. This went on until about 3:00am when Samantha and I decided it's probably the best time for us to go to bed...
When we went to bed, we didn't sleep for at least another half hour. I stared at her lava lamp and was highly amused. Yes...I am very sad...things like melted wax blobbing up and down amuse me...
Finally...we fell asleep.

Friday, 5th
We woke up at 10am. Samantha and I had nutella toast for breakfast. I haven't had nutella for yeeeeeeeears. It tasted so good :D.
I can't remember what we did after breakfast. I think we just surfed the net to look at random flashes and whatever things that amused us. Then we watched more Naruto. Haha...(we don't seem to do anything else but watch Naruto, do we? XD).
At 3:00pm Samantha's mum took me home and I got ready for my first day at work at Subway =P.

I started at 4pm and Michelle, the manager went through the training with me with a fellow Trainee by the name of Jake. It turns out that Jake is the son of the delivery driver, James, who works at Ming Court with me...lol...what a small world.
After about half an hour of Michelle telling us how to do things we got straight to working with the customers and Samantha decided to visit and make my first day on the job difficult lol. She ordered a roast beef sub and roast beef was the ONE meat I couldn't remember...bah! Oh well...at least she made me remember it for good now xD. Yeah...making subs was fun and it's far more easy and laid back than being a waitress. I didn't quit my job at Ming Court though. Ming Court is just closed for two weeks. I quit the job at Skycity though...they only wanted me for the Festive Season anyway.
Anyhoo...I finished working at 8pm and yeah...:D. I like working at Subway :).

Saturday, 6th
I GOT MY NEW LAPTOP TODAY!!!!
10am, Mila came over for her piano lesson. Hmm...she hasn't practised :/ but during the lesson I helped her improve on "She'll be Coming Round the Mountain" a lot though which is good. It's only because she knows how the piece goes though lol...*sighs contently* little kids indeed!

10:45am, mum and I drove to "Wow" and bought my Benji!!! I named my laptop Benji lol. It is my pet *strokes her Benji*. We managed to get a $28 discount with our bargaining skills ;P.
Anyhoo...for those of you who care...here's Benji's specs (in German...I can't find it in English for some strange reason...): [link] click on "Datenblatt" lol.
Anyhoo...yeah...my laptop is groooovey! :boogie:

Sunday, 7th
Today Emily came over during the evening and we went to rent out "Ghost in the Shell" because Emily got me "Ghost in the Shell 2" for Christmas. I couldn't understand the movie but it made more sense towards the end. The matrix stole ideas from this movie, I am guessing...it's intense! All these deep and hidden meanings. Nyah! The movie made my brain hurt. The sequel was even better and by then I had a better understanding of what was going on so the second movie made a lot of sense to me but my brain still really hurt from thinking about it so much. Yeah...I'll need to watch both movies several times to understand it...or maybe I should read the manga and watch the TV series...
Anyway...I thought Ghost in the Shell was very cool. The second movie was tonnes better than the first. I am trying to figure out the significance of the Bassett hound...I would tell you my interpretation but I will save you from it because 1. You won't care and 2. It's just dumb and I could yak on and on...

Monday, 8th
Woke up 7am, then walked to work at 8. This morning in Subway I got to chop up all the salads with cool cutting utensils. I WANT THE CUCUMBER CUTTER!! It's awesome! I can't even describe it in words. Well, you basically cut the entire cucumber in a second by simply spinning this handle and it chops it in perfect thin little discs. Wee! :3
Wee...today was a fun day because we had a whole cue of customers at around lunch time and I was having lots of fun making all these strange subs. Too bad the coffee machine was out of order. I like making coffee :(.
Today was an oliveless day. Apparently all of the Subway restaurants in Australia are out of olives. That's kinda amusing. WE ARE OLIVELESS NATION WIDE!!!
Moo...had a 7.5 hour shift and I think it went well.

I will save you from any further brain damage from reading my incredibly long and boring journal entry now. In the mean time, take care and goodbye for now!
Time finished: 9:27am
Listening to: Raindrops hitting my roof
Weather: Heavy rain
