I'm not going to talk about me working for 15 hours today because that would just be incredibly boring so I'll just talk about the parliament house today. Hopefully this will for once be a short blog.

I left the café at half past one and set foot to the parliament house which was about a 10 minute walk away. When I walked into the entrance I was feeling slightly intimidated by all the guards and baggage checks and surveilance cameras. It felt like I was in "Border Security". I showed one of the guards my invite and he told me to sit and wait at the main hall so I did so. Soon some more people with the same invite as me came in. Everyone else who was there were at least 40 :/. I felt alienated. What am I doing here? I didn't know yet. The madam speaker lady led the group of us to the court room and educated us a little about opposition parties discuss topics of the law here. Then we were led upstairs to this concealed by glass room to watch the politicians walk in, sit down, and debate. I thought it was going to be boring but it was thoroughly amusing. I personally knew Claire Martin (the chief minister of the Norther Territory) and Kon Vadskalis (the sports & recreations minister of the NT) through their sons. This was the first time I ever saw them as politicians. They were members of the Australian Labour Party (ALP). The opposition leader of the Central Liberal Party (CLP) was quite argumentative and sarcastic. She threw a million questions at Claire Martin and annoyed the heck out of the madam speaker getting her to shout "Order, order!" a few dozen times lol. I swear, if there wasn't this huge gap between the opposite parties, they would've strangled one another. The topic most discussed today was about to road laws of the Northern Territory. The NT has the worst road deaths and accidents statistics in Australia by far and possibly the world. On Sunday a 17 year old male died while he was driving to Katherin. He was thrown off his vehicle and his car was engulfed in flames. It's sad...
Even though it was amusing watching the politicians shout their hate messages across the room, the debate did have an impact on me. It made me realise how very real it was that a Territorean died on the road every week...hopefully with the new laws there will be less to no deaths in the future.
After watching the politicians unleash their inner angry beasts upon each other, Kent, the security guard gave us a tour around the parliament house. The state library was beautiful! I wish I could go there everyday. The art galleries were cool too, although they kinda freaked me out...all these paintings of old men 10 times your size just gazing down on you...
After our tour we had afternoon tea. I tried peppermint tea for the first time because I was curious to what it would taste like. It was quite nice but Earl Grey or Chrysanthemum is still my fave. They had chocolate chip cookies ^^ .
We finished at 3:30pm, then I walked to the bus depot and took my half hour ride home to get ready to work at Ming Court as quickly as possible.

Okay, so this entry isn't as short as I'd hope for it to be but it's an improvement...right?! AN IMPROVEMENT BY MORE THAN 2 LINES...RIGHT?!?!?!? I hope so. I'll shut up now.

Dragon Palace
At 6pm Mum and I had a dinner to go to at Dragon Palace at Skycity with John & Muni and their two gorgeous daughters, Janelle & Jillian (whom we used to babysit).
As I was driving there, there was this lunatic motorcyclist who I swear was trying to ram me from behind going about 120km/h in a 60 zone...I had to swerve to my right, halfway onto the road where oncoming traffic could've crashed into me just so I wouldn't have the cyclist ram the back of the car. Far out...he was nuts! Then when he was driving past me he gave me a dagger. What the heck was his problem? He wasn't like being chased or anything...and soon I was overtaking him again...what was the point of speeding and nearly causing and accident?! Poor mum was in shock...luckily the opposite lane didn't have cars close enough to crash into me.
We arrived there about 15 minutes and walked around the spots we haven't been to in the casino.
It was to celebrate Janelle and Jillian's birthdays. Janelle is now 6 and Jillian is 3. These two girls always have huge grins on their faces (although Jillian also pouts a lot too just to get what she wants hehe... ).
I can't remember what we ate lol...it was nice though x).
Surprise, surprise, Alfred (a friend of mine who worked with me at Best & Less) works as a waitress in Dragon Palace . He's everywhere X_x;;. Kinda like me these days with 4 jobs lol. Funny how I was a computer bum for the year and teaching piano a few hours a week...now I'm always working hehe. Life is much more exciting x).
Janelle didn't eat a thing from the restaurant and ate all the lollies she gave me (haha...). Jillian was running around our table in circles a few hundred times x). Energetic little bugger she is x).
I spent the entire night trying really hard to chase after Jillian taking photos of her. I succeeded taking many many photos....of the back of her head
Well I submitted some photos of the two lovely little girls in my gallery. They never fail to warm my heart with their lovely smiles (and their sometimes cruel bashing-me-to-death actions ).
Well...yeah...I just ran around after the two girls trying to take many many photos of them and when we tired out, we went home.

Sore Calves
I had the weekend off so I decided to play soccer with the Alawa Devils in the afternoon on Sunday after teaching across the road from my house. I miss soccer so much, but I'm pretty much a beginner now after not playing properly for over 3 years (well, really it's 11 years when I played soccer properly for a club when I was 8...but I played a little bit in year 10 for the high school girl's team...only for like...a month though because I SPRAINED MY ANKLE! >:0)...
Far out, I am so unfit...we were only 15 minutes into the game and I was already puffing like mad...I haven't done this much exercise for like...a year...haha xD.
I played left defense (the position I had in high school) and yeah...my aim right now is to not trip over the ball hehe. I tripped over the ball in year 11 and um...sprained my ankle . I am sooooo Theirry Henry, aren't I? xD
Anyhoo...I was going to play this arvo after work today too except Stephen paid me a visit xD. I was asleep on my bed and he walked over to my bedroom window and knocked on it really loud and I woke up going "AAAAAAAAAAARGH!" and he laughed at me . I couldn't hear him knocking on the front door so he had to walk over to my bedroom window...
He wanted to borrow some books from uni so we both walked to the uni library and used my library card to borrow some philosophy books out for him. Stephen seems to be in better moods now that his second attempt in year 12 is over for him . I'm pretty sure he's going to get a TER of over 90, he's really smart. He wants to do Computer Science/Philosphy at University of Melbourne as a double degree *dies* X_x;;. That's tough stuff...
After we borrowed a couple of books I invited him back to my place for a drink of water and a chat. It's been ages since the both of us just sat and chatted to each other like this. Stephen talks on and on and on really, really fast but it's comforting. Much better than in 2005 when he was always depressed.
At 5 he went back home.
Now I am complaining about my sore calves X_x;;. They're aching from soccer...hopefully they'll stop aching over night.

Not much to say in this section...except that I am currently on gaia posting every now and then on ~Bities's thread. I haven't been on gaia for like a year...forgot it even existed lol. Yeah...I'm back from the dead on gaia. I don't know if I'm back to be on frequently though. I might just forget about gaia again haha xD. I don't know what to do there anyway. There's nothing I want to buy...
I guess my friends on there are reasons enough x)

Tomorrow after working at the cafe I gotta go to the parliament house for some reason. They gave me an invite to go and it's all formal and stuff. I'm so confused though. I'm not someone important...and they want me there O_o;;. Well...I guess I'll find out why tomorrow ^^.

Thursday, 23rd November
Today I was going to work at the café from 10am to 3pm but I only ended up working 10-12 because my dad came over and kidnapped me lol. The boss is friends with my dad so she didn't have a problem with me just leaving. I felt so bad though because 12 is the worst hour to leave because by that time we had customers lining up from outside the door to the counter...it was insane! I just left Helen all by herself to serve those 50 odd people lining up for food.

Dad took me to Yum Cha Restaurant and Auntie Heng joined us as well. From those nights of folding napkins at Ming Court I had a silly urge to fold the boring napkin in front of me in this restaurant that were folded into boring triangles into a crown. So I did...lol. I turned it into a napkin crown, Ming Court style xD. Yeah, I'm silly like that...BUT I WAS BORED, OKAY? AND IT'S GOOD PRACTISE! xD.
We had chow ho fun (fried rice noodles), chow mien (fried noodles) and char siew (BBQ pork) for lunch. Halfway through lunch Jade and her mum and boyfriend came into the restaurant.
"Jade!" *Jade looks around but keeps walking*. "JADE!" *she looks at me* "OH HI!!" xD. I told her that Eliza and I couldn't go out with her on Friday night and she looked quite disappointed . I couldn't go because I had to work at Ming Court and Eliza had this charity thing going on every Friday night where she feeds the homeless (isn't that such a nice thing to do? ). So, Jade and I discussed that we should make it Saturday night, so I messaged Eliza to ask but she was busy Saturdays too, so then we discussed to have it on Thursday, but Eliza had a Christmas party thing *grumbles* so then we made it Sunday but Eliza hasn't replied to that yet :/. HURRY UP AND REPLY, ELIZA! xD

After we finished lunch, Dad dropped Auntie Heng at the Casino then dad took me to Casuarina to do some short shopping. I bumped into Kylie and told her our get together thing was off until we can find a day that all of us were free. Then I went to JB Hifi and bought "Black Holes & Revelations" by Muse even though I already had all the songs in that album in mp3. They're worth my money lol. Too bad I can't see them in the Big Day Out next year because I gotta save money for uni and the tickets are sold out already anyway. I'm kicking myself because of that >_<;;. Dad dropped me home at quarter to three then I started teaching at 3. Mila was still showing good progress. I'm glad ^.^. SHE'S STEALING ALL THE STICKERS AND LOLLIES FROM MY OTHER STUDENTS! Lol. SHUSH! IT'S NOT BRIBING! IT'S AN ACT OF LOVE! >:0. Well, it's not bribing anyway...it's rewarding...! I don't give them anything if they haven't practised or improved. I TELL THEM OFF LIKE A SCARY MOTHER! >:0 (ask Rebecca about the scary mother thing...she'll tell you I can be quite scary hehe...).

Well, that was pretty much my day. I didn't work at Ming Court tonight because tomorrow night Ming Court is fully booked so I had to stay home and study the menu so I can serve better and more efficiently. I was feeling quite nervous about that being a trainee waitress serving a fully booked restaurant etc :S.

Friday 24th November
Samantha came over at 8 in the morn. She didn't have class til 1:40 so yeah, we just stayed in my room watching Naruto for the entire time again lol. Don't worry, ToMMo...I'll watch Bleach and the other animes you mentioned to me some time next year. It's funny how throughout my highschool years I had no interest in anime. My friends were all crazy about it and I just kinda...sat back...and eyerolled at them...hehe. They've all been pestering me to watch Naruto for years so I gave in and started watching it this year and BLARGH! I HATE YOU ALL! YOU GOT ME ADDICTED! >_<;;

At 12:30, Samantha and I walked to the bus stop near my house so she could catch the bus to school. Before the bus arrived, Quynh Giao (our piano teacher) drove past and offered Samantha a lift since she was going that direction anyway. Sam accepted the offer and off she went to school. I went back home and studied the Ming Court Menu some more. I was so nervous about the night approaching...

I took an hour to get ready for work trying to look as presentable as I could. The uniform is just like the uniform I had to wear when I worked at "Best & Less". Black fitting top, pants, and shoes. One day I should turn up at Ming Court with a yellow shirt or something and see how they'd react hehe

The first 2 hours was fairly quiet. Just a few orders over the phone every now and then, but after 7:30 the restaurant got hectic. The dining customers all came in at this time and we immediately courteously accommodated them to the best of our abilities and tried to juggle our dining service with the phone orders. Man...so much running around and multitasking. I felt like my head was going to explode. I gotta say I've developed this phobia of opening champaign bottles lol. I'm so pathetic hehe. I squint everytime I try to open one hehe. I guess I still need more experience with the alcohol stuff (NOT DRINKING! OPENING BOTTLES, KNOWING THE NAMES AND SERVING THEM, YOU GIT!). I soon adapted to the multitasking and found it wasn't as intimidating than I anticipated it to be. It was quite fun actually and the people dining in were all so friendly and I actually had really nice conversations with them . There were some young kids that were around too who helped me clear the tables and stuff too. They were such little darlings .

Sarah poked blue dots on my arm again. I swear, she's doing it to sabotage my presentable appearance just so she can be the most presentable waitress xD. That night I met May, another waitress. She was cool too and yes, she was another victim of Sarah's. May and I tried to gang up on her but Sarah was too smart for our own good. She soon highlighted our arms with different coloured highlighters -.-;;. Sarah finished at 9, and May finished at 10. I was there until 11:30 and I was like "NOOOOO! THE NEW WAITRESS IS LEFT ALL BY HERSELF!!" but I survived...yay! x).
These two guys gave me a $40 tip...nyahahaha....I GOT TIPSIES!! WOOO!!! . I like this waitressing business. You meet interesting people, it's good adrenaline rush and you learn so much . I'm glad I got to have this experience. No, I'm not gonna be a waitress forever. I have bigger plans...

Anyhoo...after clearing the tables and cleaning all those glasses and dishes, I finally got to go home. When I came home, I scared my mother with my bloodshot eyes. I didn't realise my eyes were so bloodshot. I was wondering why the kitchenhand people were telling me to go home early and I just said "Nah, I'm fine, and you need all the help you could get."
My feet and lowerback were in pain but I wasn't feeling tired at all surprisingly. In fact I was quite happy. I thought tonight I was going to disappoint but I got through it alright . I'm glad ^^.
When I got home, I immediately took a shower, had dinner (yes...dinner at midnight lol...). Then I realised Emily messaged me while I was at work but I only just got it then. She asked if I wanted to go see "Borat" tomorrow evening. Unfortunately I couldn't because I had to work again I WANT TO GO SEE BORAT!!!!
Then I watched Rage on TV until 2am. I still wasn't tired at 2am but I thought I best get to sleep. It took me about an hour to get to sleep...my body was all worn out but my mind was whizzing around, I guess it's from working. Mih...this waitressing life takes a while to get used to...

Saturday 25th November
Woke up at 10am, browsed around dA, checking a few comments and deviations here and there, then wrote this journal entry x).
Today I should clean my room. I said I'd do it straight after the exams but I never got around doing it. It's a mess!
Mmk...I'll stop this entry now....I have this habit of writing novels for my journal entries.

Woke up at 6 in the morn yesterday to get ready to go to work at the cafe. I took the bus there and was greeted by the other fellow workers of the cafe.

Usually first thing, we'd make about 200 coffees but today was relatively quiet. It was quiet until quarter to 11 so I messaged Samantha wishing her the best of luck for the Chemistry test she had yesterday and Eliza because I was bored. Soon after I messaged them about 40 people came in at the same time and the lot of us got very busy mostly making sandwhiches for them, from one sandwhich to the next, non-stop and this went on for about 2 hours. Haha...so much for being a quiet day xD. It was heaps fun though, especially when the customers ask for EVERYTHING in their sandwhich and I'm trying very hard to not let the vegies topple over like an avalanche as I pile them up.

The hot foods didn't sell very well, but the sandwhiches...far out...we were RUNNING OUT OF BREAD!! GAAAAAAAAARGH!

The cafe closed at 2:30 and people STILL came in until 3 so we closed it late.

I made myself a toasted ham, cheese and tomatoe sandwhich (haha, I'm such an aussie) before we finished work. Helen dropped me home, that was very nice of her :). But then I had an hour to unstink my oily smell, get well dressed and go to work at the Ming Court restaurant.

How did I get greeted as soon as I came into the building? Sarah (the fellow waitress) got a pen and started poking me on the arm... :/...yeah, nice to see you too, Sarah xD. She's like 29 and acts like a 7 year old...seriously xD. It's cute.

Sarah: *pokes me with her pen on my arm* YOU HAVE CHICKEN POX! NYAHAHAHAHAHA!
Me: *looks at her funny* WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU?!

Sarah: you make me jealous!

Me: what?! I didn't steal your husband!

Sarah: I'm jealous because *goes up to me and grabs my cheeks* YOU'RE SOOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUTE!!!! *continues to pinch them visciously*

Me: *sweat drop* Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! >_<;;

WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY I'M CUTE?!?! I AM NOT CUTE!!! AND WHAT IS IT WITH YOU PEOPLE AND MY CHEEKS?! JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE CHUBBY AND ROSEY!! GAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!! *twitch*

The night before Sarah was like: How old are you?

Sarah: REALLY?!

Me: ....you thought I was younger, didn't you? -.-

Sarah: yeah...like...14 or 15 or something

Me: yeah I get that a lot -.- do I really look THAT young?!

Sarah: YES!

Me: *grumbles*

Sarah: it's a good thing!
Me: No it's not...people treat me like a baby T_T and then they pinch my cheeks and go "YOU'RE SO CUTE!" and GARGH! >_<;;

*mutters under her breath* bleh! >_<;;

Anyhoo...I like Sarah :). She's so much fun to be with and she's taught me a lot about waitressing. She makes me feel like I'm back in high school mucking around with a friend. We've only known each other for 3 days and already we're acting like close sisters.

Last night it was a quiet night for Chinese food but far out...we got orders every 2 minutes for Pizza and Alan & Vince (the pizza makers) were getting agitated with me coming into the kitchen with an order slip every 2 minutes. They were constantly on the go making pizza and it was frustrating when I talk to the customers over the phone when they order a pizza and I say "Unfortunately it's going to be an hour's wait because we've had a lot of pizza orders coming in in the past hour and we've only got 2 pizza chefs and one functioning oven" and they get all pissed off and GARGH! >_<;;

I feel so bad coming into the kitchen harrassing the boys, because when a customer comes in to pick their order up I go into the kitchen to see if they've finished and I always bug them saying "How long is it going to be for the order for Luke" or "Jenny's waiting outside, how long is it til her pizza's done?" and yeah...it sucks because they have like, 30 pizza orders coming in every hour. They got through the night though. They're amazing...

During the night these three customers came in to dine. They were an old couple and their son. It turned out to be their 48th wedding anniversary. We congratulated them and the champaign was on the house. It's amazing....48 years of marriage...and here I sit thinking about how marriage sucked these days and hardly ever last and last night, I witnessed the few remaining couples who make it so far...it's good that there are still marriages like that that exist today...*sigh* sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be that lucky... xD

Anyhoo, the restaurant got quiet after 9 so I folded napkins with my new napkin oragami skills for the rest of the night. I'm getting quite good at the folding thing xD. I've never folded so many napkins in my life xD.

At 10, Richard, my boss, dropped me home. I realised I worked for 14 hours today and I thought "wow...didn't think I could do that..." then I realised how tired mum must be, having to work for hours every...single...day...I felt bad not acknowledging how hard she works enough and now I know.

I ate my dinner when I got home then went to bed (noooo! I'm going to put on even MORE weight!).
Poor Eliza started work when I finished...that's gotta suck, having to start work at 10pm and finishing at goodness knows when.... :/

Today I'm only working at the cafe for 5 hours and that's it :). I'm not working at the restaurant tonight because I gotta study the menu a lot tonight since tomorrow night, the restaurant's fully booked and I have to be well prepared to help serve everyone. I'm excited but I'm dreading it because I don't know if I'm good enough to serve the entire restaurant by myself (Sarah's not working on Friday...LEAVING ME ALONE, THE TRAINEE, WHEN THE RESTAURANT'S FULLY BOOKED! HOW MEAN!!). T_T WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Anyway...I must get ready for work now.

*Sigh* turns out I'm heaps busier after the exams. So much for checking all my deviantart messages lol.

Friday 17^th November

Today I woke up the earliest I had in months. Samantha was coming over at 8 in the morn so yeah x). IT RAINED!! IT RAINED!! WE HAD SUCH GORGEOUS WEATHER ON THIS DAY! Nice light drizzle/overcast all day!

When Samantha came all we did was watch Naruto until 1pm xD (yes…many hours of staring at my computer monitor watching Naruto…that can’t be healthy…I now declare animé an addictive drug…). We did stop for a half hour break though because I cooked her spaghetti bolognaise xD.

At 1 we set off to Mengyang’s house which was near by. For the first few minutes we were very amused by her kitten chasing this ball around the living room and carelessly pouncing on it (and getting hit on the face by the curtain). Then we just watched “She’s the Man” on DVD. We didn’t do anything else lol.

Yep…that’s all the significant events of today.

Saturday 18^th November

I got woken up at 9 by my lovely mother shouting in my ear. I can’t think of a better way to be woken up…can you?

She wanted me to go shopping with her *grumbles*. I only went with her because it was McHappy day.

We arrived at Casuarina shopping centre at around 10 and the first place we went to was this jewellery store. I’m not a fan of jewellery but just to satisfy my mother I browsed around and had considerable looks at some items here and there. Soon I came across this section of silver locket necklaces. A few days ago I was walking around with Eliza and she was looking for silver lockets. We didn’t find much of variety though so when I encountered this entire section of silver lockets I messaged her about it telling her the prices they were around about and where they were located in the store just in case she was interested.

Then we just randomly walked around (mostly at the clothes stores because that’s pretty much all mum is interested in). Amazingly enough I bought two tops *le gasp! Min shopped for clothes!*. For lunch mum and I had Big Mac meals. I usually avoid eating McDonald’s but I did today because it was for charity since it was McHappy day. Just in case you don’t know what McHappy day is, it’s a day when McDonald’s donates $1 for every Big Mac burger sold to the Ronald McDonald’s house charity where they accommodate sick kids away from home and I think some funds go to hospitals and research for children’s diseases too. I also bought two rubber wrist bands where all funds go to the charity. Hehe, mum and I didn’t really enjoy our very unhealthy burgers but it was well worth it :). Practically everyone around us bought Big Macs and I was glad.

We went home at 1:30 (I can’t believe we’ve been shopping for 3.5 hours…). I came home and had a nap for an hour then I had to teach Melissa at 3. *Sigh* Melissa hasn’t practised her pieces. She wanted to learn Für Elise so I taught her a page and a half. Bleh…now both Melissa AND Kae-jenn are playing this piece x). They’re gonna start being competitive with each other now lol.

After I taught I went for a walk at the beach but in my solitude since Danmei no longer lived near by :(. It’s no fun walking to the beach by yourself…

I came home later in the evening, had dinner, and didn’t do much else but just bummed around on the computer til late.

Sunday 19^th November

TODAY WAS :iconkaokun:’s BIRTHDAY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALEX!!!

I didn’t have enough credit to send him a birthday sms after being bombarded with sms’s from Jade and Kylie today T_T. I taught for most of the day. Kae-jenn surprisingly got slack…(it must be the “Exam is done! I can slack now” attitude)…he said it was because he had a keyboard at home and not a piano (well, he had that excuse for a year now…didn’t stop him from doing well in the exam lol). Mila, however practised a lot and I’m impressed with her progress :D. She worried me for a while because she didn’t improve for about a month…I’m glad I got her back to two lessons a week.

After teaching I went for a walk again and came back for dinner. After dinner I was just in the living room watching TV with mum. I was in my PJs and everything…and then Jade and Kyle rock up my front gate and I was like “GARGH! I SAID I WASN’T GOING TO GO OUT WITH THEM TODAY!!!!! >:0”. Apparently Jade called me about 8 times today on my mobile. I didn’t receive any of them! I had my mobile with me the entire time! Anyhoo…Jade and Kyle kidnapped me to spend the night over at Jade’s. First we went to pick up Kylie along the way. We went to buy some drinks then went over to Jade’s and did nothing but indulge ourselves in front of Jade’s big wide screen TV (with cable) and Jade’s marvellous cooking ^^. We watched the last part of Australian Idol (Jessica Mauboy was a school mate of mine hehehe…I want Damien to win though) and then Shaun of the Dead which was funny…then this reality TV thing about blacks and whites in America :/. After that Jade dropped me home and I was home by 11 like Jade promised to my mother =P.

Monday 20^th November

I woke up at 6:30am, hopped on msn for a bit hoping it was still the 19^th in England so I could wish Alex happy birthday but obviously it wasn’t when he said “it was yesterday” *cries*. Ah well, he’s an understanding young man…you forgive me right, Kao? RIGHT?! >_>;;

I hopped off and got ready to go to Darwin High. I was out the door by 7 then caught the 7:30 bus to school. Everyone at the bus depot looked at me weird, knowing I graduated last year, saying “Hui-Min…what are you doing here O_o;;?!”. I got asked that about a squillion times when I got to school as well.

First off, as soon as I got to school, I walked around the different faculties to visit my ex teachers and took photos with them with Samantha. It was so nice to see them and I was glad they were glad to see me too hehe…

It was incredible seeing Ms Sparrow (my ex English Studies teacher) pregnant. I hope I could visit her at the hospital after her son’s birth in January :). Ms Sparrow’s incredible. She’s one of the very best teachers around and also a very good friend.

I didn’t do much else after going around seeing teachers. I hung out at the benches and chatted to my year 11 friends. The guys mostly played yu-gi-oh cards *eye roll* and I tried to teach Samantha and Brentley some Organic Chemistry since they had a test on Wednesday. With much difficulty, after a while, surprisingly Brentley wanted to study it with me but I don’t think I helped Samantha much xD. It doesn’t matter…Samantha doesn’t have to pass it anyway since she’s done enough year 12 subjects (and brilliantly) to get a decent TER and graduate from high school…even though she’s officially in year 11 and young enough to be in year 10…scary isn’t it?

Yeah…I took random photos of my friends and I then went home when school ended. I uploaded a few photos I took this day onto my deviantart gallery.

When school ended I caught the school bus home, manipulated and uploaded the photos onto my gallery then slept for a bit. Then I went to Ming Court to do my first night in waitressing. It was hard to learn how to take orders over the phone and serve at the tables and stuff like that but I soon got the hang of it. It was heaps fun :D. I worked until 9:30pm then went home and crashed.

Tuesday 21^st November

I woke up at 6:30am again and went to school for a bit so Samantha could hand in a Chemistry practical before recess. Then we came back to my place and watched Naruto for a few hours xD (yes…we were on drugs again hehe). At 1:30 Emily came over (watched one episode with us) and talked to us about her AFI experience in Melbourne. She’s over the moon she got to meet AFI. At 2 she drove us back to Darwin High because Samantha and I decided to turn up to band rehearsal for the first time in like, a year, after school. Samantha didn’t go to band rehearsal this year because of all her year 12 subjects and I didn’t go for obvious reasons, because I graduated from Darwin High hehe…

Today, during rehearsal, I found that the band had significantly dropped in numbers. I didn’t know if it was because half the band was wagging or there just wasn’t many this year anyway. I felt nostalgic during rehearsal today. I usually played the keyboard but Joseph Yuen who is in year 12 this year is on it so I played 1^st flute instead. Thank goodness my sight reading wasn’t as bad as I thought because our conductor put a lot of pressure on me telling the other flutes “This is Hui-Min, who was in year 12 last year, and was in the band for the past 5 years. She’s done her Amus on the piano so she’s a brilliant musician!” and I was thinking “NOOO! DON’T TELL THEM THAT! NOW THEY’RE GOING TO EXPECT ME TO BE GOOD, WHICH I AM NOT! >_<;;”. No, I am not being my modest self…my sight reading is shocking…seriously…I always had a bad, bad, BAD habit of playing by ear and memorising after one or two listens so I never read much thus it resulted to me being a hopeless sight reader…*cries*. Sight reading is an important skill which I do not have, unfortunately…so STOP PRAISING ME BEING A GREAT MUSICIAN! >_<;;

I went back home and got ready to go to Ming Court straight away. Tonight was a quite night. My first night was hectic…Oh…while I was home I only just realised I got a message from Jordan saying she finished year 12. CONGRATS, JORDAN! ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s good that it was a quiet night. The old staff had more opportunities to run things through with me. I’m getting the hang of this waitressing business :D. I quite enjoy it :D. I meet interesting customers and the cooks and other waitresses are just so nice :).

I finished at 9:30 again and now I’m on the computer writing about my week.

I’m going to end my blog now thought because tomorrow I got to work at the Fox & Hound Café Inn (first time working there in about 6 months) during the day from 7am-3pm at the city then I gotta work at Ming Court again from 5pm-9:30pm in Jingili. Woo…long day…I might end up BUSIER THAN I WAS WHEN I HAD UNI! xD At least this is heaps more fun though :) and I’m getting paaaaaaaaid lots of moneh!!!!!!! Hehehe…

Yup…best go to bed now so I can sleep enough for the long day working tomorrow…

Monday 6th November
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAR FRIEND, SINEAD ON THIS DAY!
Okay...the main things that happened today:
Around 11am I got messaged by Jordan saying she received my parcel :D. Some of you may or may not recall a few entries ago I said I did something that made me really happy but I couldn't reveal it incase a certain someone was going to read it and it's supposed to be a surprise? Well that's what it was. I bought Ethan, Jordan's adorable son, a birthday present and sent it to them in a parcel ^.^
1pm: MY VERY FIRST EXAM OF THE SEMESTER!! Anatomy & Physiology. I've been preparing for it 3 weeks before this exam...(and it was 3 weeks of cramming...). How did I go? Well I didn't go as well as I initially had hoped for but after all that studying and realising how hard it was, I accepted the fact that sometimes you can't ALWAYS achieve what you want, but I did the best that I could..and that's all that matters. I think I just passed it...not so much of a great achievement but mih...memorising half of your 1,300 page textbook is not exactly easy so I'll commemorate my ability to pass hehe...I don't praise myself very often if at all x).
My friends seemed to do well too I think. I'm glad :). They might not think so but I think they're great students.
Anyhoo...after we finished our exams, Eliza, Kyle and I went to Casuarina just to walk around and sort of celebrate finishing our first exam. Eliza said to me "Hey Min, you gotta show me where JB Hifi is". Naturally I was about to show her but then I remembered that she wasn't allowed to go there. You'll find out why later...Eliza and I discovered that Kyle has um...shall I say "interesting" taste in jewellery hehe, or an "interesting" taste in what looks expensive. Eliza was looking at jewellery and commenting on stuff here and there, then Kyle pointed at this strange looking necklace with an oversized (size of a strawberry), yellow plastic-like looking heart crystal thing (yes, I'm so good at describing things, aren't I? xD), and said "Hey! What about this one? This looks like it's expensive! It looks like a massive gem! And look! It's only $39!" or something along those lines. Eliza and I looked at him funny (as per usual) x).
Later we got boost juice, it was unfortunate for Kyle that it wasn't beer...I don't get this hole "blokes' attachment to beer" thing. Is beer seriously that great?! I take a wiff and eeeyurk! It smells disgusting to me xD.
Kyle shouted Eliza and I McDonald's ^^. How nice of him ^^. It was the first time I had junk food in ages. I thought I might as well pig out and have this opportunity to be unhealthy since I just finished an exam. Hmm...my logic made no sense, did it? x)
After that, Eliza drove us home. I checked my letterbox and I got mail from the Australian Music Examinations Board and I immediately knew it was my students' piano exam reports. I opened them to have a look and to my surprise, after all the controversy I had with the examiner and the syllabus, they got remarkable results :D. The examiner wrote "Very impressive musician" and "I see lots of potential" in the comments and yeah...that made me happy x). They were very reassuring words for a novice teacher who's confidence for herself never existed...
I think that was all the important stuff that happened on Monday....

*Min can't remember what happened in between...it's probably just Min cooped up in her room studying non stop for her next exams...*

Wednesday 15th November
The day that we had our Biology exam. Before the exam I was crying in the kitchen table as I was having my breakfast. I just felt so hopeless after all the studying I did and not remembering or understanding a lot. I was so convinced that I was going to fail. I was so depressed. I never wanted to be depressed ever again like I was last year and on this morning I just felt the same overwhelming feeling again...I messaged Eliza about how depressed I was...it wasn't a very nice thing for me to do :(. Sorry, Eliza!
Determined to not go back to my dark moments, I sat down and still and said a little prayer in my mind. After a few minutes I felt content again. I'm glad this year I've learnt how to let go. I've emotionally changed so much this year for the better. Anyway...moving on...(I hate it when I go off in a tangent...).
So yeah, I was feeling content again so I messaged Eliza again to tell her that I was sorry and I felt a lot better. Then I walked to uni, to the exam room. On the way I just tried to enjoy everything around me. The trees, the birds, everything...
So I walk into the exam room, not worried, but neither confident. I just sat on my table...and did what I had to do. Throughout the three hours, looking at all the questions, to my bewilderment I could actually answer a fair amount of them with ease :). I finished the exam about half an hour early. Everyone else seemed to do pretty well too :D. Later Jade, Kyle, Eliza and I went to Casuarina to chill out as our little form of celebration of finishing our second exam (well, third and final for Jade). Eliza asked me if she was allowed to go to JB Hifi yet and again I said no. We had lunch at the eatery and while we were having lunch we got Kyle to teach us a little big of Chemistry and we had small arguments instead. So typical of us, never listening to Kyle (when quite often <> he is right...).
Kyle went home soon after so then Eliza, Jade and I walked around Dollars & Sense for about half an hour (how we stayed in there that long...I don't know...but yeah...they have some pretty interesting cheap stuff in there xD). Eliza purchased Christmas wrapping paper, and a fishnet thingymajig. Jade bought bunny ears, a bow and a tail lol. When we walked out, Jade caught up with an old high school friend so Eliza and I went upstairs to look at bags and wallets in equip. Eliza pondered in there for a while wondering if she should buy this wallet she really wanted or not. Eventually she decided not to buy it (yet) so we migrated to random jewellery stores looking for a sterling silver locket for Eliza. Again she pondered on whether to get this locket she really liked after much physical observation with it x). Eventually she came to the decision of putting it on hold. Haha, she's so cute when she's shopping xD. Then we went into Socrates and amused ourselves for a while with gizmos and gadgets. After that Eliza was about to go home. She was curious as to what I was going to do or how I was going to get home. I just said "Nah, not going home yet...I gotta do some stuff." and she asked "You're going to do some stuff without me?" "Yes, WITHOUT YOU!" and then we said our goodbyes hehe. I set foot to JB Hifi and searched for the album "Plans" by Death Cab For Cutie. With much difficulty, I eventually found it and bought it. Then I went to find a birthday card and wrapping paper. When I found it all, I caught the bus home and when I got home I wrapped up the album and wrote in the card. It was for Eliza's birthday (even though it was two weeks ago). She was whining me to burn her Death Cab For Cutie for ages but I thought I'd buy it for her instead.
After giftwrapping, since I was sleep deprived (and have been awake for about 168 hours at the time) I slept for 3 hours then tried to study for Chemistry...THE FINAL EXAM...AND THE ONLY EXAM THAT IS MADE COMPULSORY TO PASS IN ORDER TO PASS THE UNIT!!!!
I failed for the first 6 hours >_>;; which was a very bad thing....
Okay...this moves on to Thursday now...

Thursday 16th November
Yeah, basically I was awake all night trying to study for Chemistry. I hardly did a thing though. Eliza came over at 6am to study with me until our exam started. We studied for 2 hours and those 2 hours was the most productive studying I've done for the entire night and morning...hopefully it helped Eliza too.
We ran halfway to the exam rooms not bothered to be worried about failing the exam anymore. For the past 24 hours my brain surrendered to the "La-di-la Holiday Mood" so yeah...studying was impossible!!!
To my surprise I could remember a lot and answer a fair amount of questions again. I felt like, I don't know...I was blessed for the time I was in the exam room with a working recall memory and ability to understand how to answer the questions. I finished the exam an hour and a half early and thought that was ridiculously fast. I always take up the entire exam time but today I have no idea how I did it so fast. I checked my answers about 7 times over then looked at the clock. There was still an hour left. I decided that I probably wouldn't do anything so I left the exam room and waited for everyone else to finish outside.
Bored, bored, bored. Noone was with me for a while, so I messaged a squillion people announcing my freedom x).
Eventually everyone came out of the exam room and we kicked the footy around for about half an hour on the grass area.
Later I gave Eliza her birthday present and it made her happy. I broke my promise. Earlier in the year I promised not to get her anything for her birthday but I just couldn't resist because Eliza's a wonderful friend and means so much to me. I knew how much she wanted the album so I bought it for her. It was the best feeling in the world knowing I made someone happy...
Soon Jade arrived at uni and we decided to go to the Beachfront to celebrate.
Eliza, Kylie and Kyle all walked back to my place, the three of them then drove off to Kyle's to pick up Kyle's car while I waited at home for Samantha who was visiting me today. Samantha arrived after catching the bus from school to my house (no she wasn't wagging, she had no classes left). It was the first time I've seen Sammy in MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS! *clings to her Sammy Wammy*. Soon after, the other three came back with Kyle's car. We all drove to Beachfront in Kyle's car, he then handed over his car key to Eliza and told her "Don't you dare lose my key! It's the only one I have yada yada yada" and Eliza promised she won't. We entered the building and when we were inside I was kinda...worried? Yeah...there's a bar...and beer drinking people...and yeah...I'm a novice to this kind of environment. It wasn't too bad though. Everyone just ate, drank and played pool. We got nachos and wedges and I drank some coke. I was being sober bob because the others wanted to drink a bit. We played a few rounds of pool and as per usual I was fairly hopeless at it x). Samantha shined her novice talent at some occassions. I think she was thoroughly amused.
At 2:45pm Eliza drove Sammy and me back to my place in Kyle's car but before that when we went outside to the car she couldn't find the car key anywhere in her pocket. We were all scared and after promising Kyle it would never be lost. We went back into the cafe to search for it but luckily Kylie had it. It turned out that Eliza gave it to Kylie at some stage and forgot that she did. Hehe...
When we got back to my place Eliza then drove home in her own car (haha, so many cars) and Sam and I waited for Sam's mum to pick her up. Her mum was right on the dot at my place at 3pm to pick her up. I only got to see Sammy for 2 hours today but it was better than nothing. She's coming over tomorrow morning anyway :D *dances*.
At 3:30 Mila (my 8 year old student) came and I gave her her lesson. She's progressing well :). At 4 we ended the lesson and I was so delighted about her progress I gave her chocolate chip cookies as a reward x) (haha, now someone's going to dob me in for bribery xD...sheesh...can't you just call it an act of love?!?! T_T it would make me look better!).
At 5, Jade messaged me to pick them up at the beachfront because Kyle had footy training at 5:30 and I had his car lol. So yeah, I got there, I drove Kyle home in his car (since he had some beers) and by 5:30 the rest of us were home (except Kyle who was at footy training which was at the oval across the road from my house).
At about 6 Kyle rang me on my mobile with his (even though he was only across the road) and screamed "OI, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!" "Huh? What did I do to you?" "Yeah...what did you do to me? I can't train! I can't catch, I can't kick, I can't do anything! It's ridiculous!" "That doesn't mean I did anything to you!" "Well yeah, still...I can't do anything here right now." "Well how many drinks did you have?" "About 7 to 8 beers?" "Well there ya go!!" "Oi man, can we go to town like...now?! I wanna go out tonight!" "...Kyle...I'M TIRED!!!" "Aw, alright." "Jade and Kylie might go out with you tonight." "But I want to go now!" "Sorry, Kyle. I'm really tired, and I won't be allowed anyway...if you go out with Jade and Kylie tonight, have fun, okay?" "Okay, bye!". Yeah...that was my day and the first things I did with my freedom.
Sadly enough it was the first time us uni friends ever went out and did anything together as a group. Quite sad really considering we've been at uni together for a year already and it's the end of the year...
Well I managed to get a few photos of each other today. Not enough though. Hopefully we're all getting together again this Sunday evening.

Anyhoo...regarding my exams. At the beginning of the semester I was aiming to get a High Distinction for everything but hehe, that was out of my league by far. I predict I got a Credit for Anatomy & Physiology and Biology and only a pass for Chemistry *cries*. Well, I guess we'll find out when the results come out :D. Hopefully I did better than I thought (and not worse than I thought because that would just be bad...).

I should be off to bed now. I've been sleep deprived for about 192 hours...

Haha...so much for a brief blog entry xD...

Finally I just want to say thank you to those who've supported me all the way with your kind thoughts, praises, and your friendship. You know who you are...I love you all so much using words to express it just won't explain how much I really do love you...*hugs*
