Shattered

Time started: 8:11pm
Place: My room
Weather: Cold
Mood: Devastated

I watched the match Italy vs Australia. A contraversial penalty kick to the Italians when the game was supposed to be over...after Australia dominating the game...a score that shattered the hearts the socceroos and millions of their fans, their hopes, and dreams. An injustice decision by the referee...again...and that's it. The socceroos are out of the World Cup...
My tears and pain among millions of others says it all...
All in all...I cannot be any more prouder for the socceroos for playing their hearts out and proving to the world they were a great team...

The Roos Got Through!!!

Time started: 8:19pm
Place: My room
Weather: Fine
Mood: Happy!!!!

THE SOCCEROOS GOT THROUGH TO ROUND TWO! I CAN DIE HAPPY!
I invited Eliza over to sleep over for the match. In the morning we walked around Casuarina and came across a pile of yarn of all sorts of colours. I got a strange idea of making a pom pom and Eliza happily approved of that idea. We chose green and gold so we could make something to represent our patriotism and to cheer on the socceroos.
We arrived back to my place at around 1pm and just mucked around on the computer for a few hours.
After we had a pizza dinner, we got started with making the pom poms while watching videos (The Swan Princess and The Kind and I). We started the pom poms at 8:30pm, we finished at 4:30am just before the match between Australia and Croatia. We thought to ourselves: We stayed up this late and made pom poms for 8 hours just for this...this better be worth it!
I must say it was a rather tragic beginning for the socceroos. In the first two minutes, Croatia managed to score a goal with a free kick. Eliza and I had a spirit that just went ka-putt. So much for them getting into the second round we thought...
I swear the referees must have something against the socceroos...For the match against Japan, they let Japan score a goal even though they pushed our goalie over, which was an obvious foul. For the match against Brazil, Kewell couldn't get awarded a penalty kick, even though the Brazillian defender fouled, tripping him over in a goal scoring opportunity. The referee in this match was the worst...Viduka was in a good goal opportunity moment, while he was dribbling the ball in the penalty box, toward the goal, and this defender had his arms around his waist, restricting Viduka's movements for a good 8 seconds and the referee refuses to give them a penalty kick. What the hell?! The second time, Australia had another goal scoring opportunity, however the Croatian defender handballed it out. The referee STILL didn't offer them a penalty kick. That was two almost definite goals taken away from the socceroos.
Overall it was a really exciting game. Australia were out...then they were in, after Moore scored the first goal. Then they were out again after Croatia scored a rather unspectacular goal, because of the poor performance from Kalac, the Aussie goalie, but Harry Kewell...wow...he saved the day with his spectacular goal!
I feel for Viduka. He probably had the most shots on goal out of the entire team, yet he still failed to score one single goal...Viduka has such incredible luck (or lack of) with goals...XD...poor guy...
Kennedy is a player that makes me laugh. He is definitely not the most technically skilled player on earth, but he has such a big heart while playing. It's great watching him run psycho around the field. He did quite a lot of good for the team. It's great ^.^
Anyway...one last thing...
GO GHANA! YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY AND YOU BEAT THE CZECH REPULIC! HATS DOWN TO YOU ALL!!!I HOPE YOU KICK BRAZIL'S ARSE IN THE TOP 16!!!!!!!!!
Oh yes...and also...
GO THE SOCCEROOS! KICK ITALY'S ARSES!!!

Widdle Prince Charming

Time started: 9:05pm
Place: My room
Weather: Fairly cool
Mood: Good ^.^
I was doing the laundry and I found this little frog under the sink. That poor bugger was trapped and I was washing down washing powdered water onto it without realising (I'M SORRY, FROGGIE!).
I got it out of the sink with much difficulty, gave it a clean water bath, and let it out in the garden.
When I went back inside I stopped and thought: Hmm...you don't see much frogs during the dry season if at all...I hope I didn't let it out to die! So I went outside to look for it again. Thankfully it was at the same spot where I left it. I put the little froggie into a container filled with a bit of water. Then I did some research on google about green tree frogs because I was considering keeping it as a pet until the wet season. I found out they ate cockroaches and spiders. If you haven't known already, I am strongly against killing things. I even wrote stories about cockroachs and spiders not being killed by me xD. Then I found out that they can survive during the dry season in hollow trees and under rocks so I happily took the frog back outside and put it in the hollow bougainvillea tree. Before I did, I gave it a little kiss. It didn't turn into prince charming but, ahh well...who needs prince charming? The frog is way much cuter! ^.^
Well...that's all I wanted to say today. I saved a widdle prince charming ^.^

Sleep Overs and THE Match!

Time started: 8:17pm
Place: My room
Weather: Boring
Mood: Could be better...

On Saturday there was a party at Liz's. The occasion was Sinead being in Darwin to visit from Brisbane. I was happy because my friends could finally properly meet Eliza since I got her to come to the party too. Erin came to pick me up at around 5:30pm. Ross hitched a ride with us too. We got to Liz's at quarter to 6 and the aromas of chocolate cake baking filled up my nostrils and wow...it smelt bloody good! Liz and Sinead were making a chocolate cake ^.^
At 6:45pm Erin, Brentley and I drove to Palmeston Bus Depot to meet up with Eliza who had to get dropped off by her sister. While we were waiting for her at the depot carpark, we sat on the car, turned up Panic! At the Disco with the CD Player in the car and just sang ^.^
Yay! Eliza finally arrived and we drove back to Liz's. I think Eliza was a bit intimidated at first with my friends since she didn't know anyone there but me. We were all crazy too...but then again...so is Eliza XD.
Later in the evening we put our money together and Sara, Lani, Sinead, Eliza and I drove to the Woolworth's store in Coolinga (just so they could perve on this hot staff apparently...) to buy some food. Then we went to get pizza from Dominoes and went back to Liz's to provide our friends with food.
When we got back, everyone were watching "Coupling" ^.^ then we stuffed ourselves with pizza and Liz's chocolate cake...mmmm...
Then we chucked on some DVDs. The first thing we attempted to watch was "Confidence" but the first 5 minutes of the movie seemed really boring so we stopped watching it and went with "Eurotrip". It would've been an alright movie if there weren't so many bloody naked people. What is it with the breasts and penises?! I guess it's for those uh...sad..people... >_>;;
After that we watched Benny & Joon and aww...it's such a lovely movie ^_^. Johnny Depp did a very good job acting in that movie. <3>_<;;) Eliza and I tried to go to sleep in the living room and we did at 4:30am. We slept well for 2 hours, then my mother woke us up to get us to sleep in my room, since she was going to work and no longer sleeping in my bed. I slept well for another 3 hours. Eliza slept for another 5 and a half. I wanted to wake her up but she just looked so peaceful I couldn't... She woke up at midday so I cooked Spaghetti Bolognaise for the both of us. Then we watched some more Naruto on my computer. We did that until 4:30pm, then Eliza and I walked to the Casuarina bus depot so she could catch the bus home. It was nice to have her around, with my friends, and over at my place. I must say I had a very nice weekend. However I must get cracking with my studying. In this blog I did not mentioned what has happened throughout the last 2 weeks. Well...I developed a boil on my left arm near the elbow. It grew really big, and chances were that it was going to infect my joint. I went to the doctors and they performed 5 consecutive surgeries on me the week before exam week. With all that surgery...I couldn't possibly study, so instead of doing the exams when they were scheduled...the university allowed me to do the exams next month, instead. The up side is...I have an extra month to study...the down side is...I won't have a 4 week holiday. I would've finished the university semester by now...*sigh*. Well...I think I'll go study now. I'm having great difficulty processing the information into my simpleton brain, and if I don't cram the information soon...my grades are going to suffer! Just got one thing left to say: GO THE SOCCEROOS! I'M SO BLOODY PROUD OF YOU! Time finished: 9:26pm Weather: Not as cool as I'd like it to be... Mood: A bit better...but could still be better...

*FIFA World Cup Fever* I CAN DIE HAPPY!!!!!!!!

Time started: 1:30am
Place: My room
Weather: Cold
Mood: SO BLOODY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soccer is my fave sport in the world and the world cup is definitely my priority (it just sucks that it's during the exams....SOCCER FANATICS LIKE ME SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO STUDY AND SIT FOR EXAMS DURING THE FIFA WORLD CUP!!)

I'll talk about the best bit last XD...

The games I watched:

Germany vs Costa Rica (4-2):
I must say this was a bloody good opening game! I was more than pleased to see Germany win this game sensationally from pure skill. I've been on a high since the opening match...!!!!!!

England vs Paraguay (1-0):
Hmm...this was a disappointing match for me. I expected a lot more from England. Maybe it was the heat...glad England won though :)

Trinidad & Tobago vs Sweden (0-0):
I LOVED this game very much! I went for Sweden but omg...TRINIDAD ROCKED! I love to see unrecognised teams put on a show and gain respect. It was clear that Sweden was a better team but no matter how much they tried...Trinidad would just not let them score! Hats down to Trinidad! They're one of my faves now!

Serbia & Montenegro vs Netherlands (0-1):
Meh...a dissappointing game again. The Dutch were supposed to be almighty but I don't know...they didn't really show it. Their striker Ronnen seemed to be doing all the work...ahh well...I went for Holland... =)

Mexico vs Iran (3-1):
=( this is the only team I went for so far that lost. BOTH the teams played very well. It was a very good game indeed. Iran just didn't make it =(

Australia vs Japan (3-1):
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!!!!
OI OI OI!!!!!!!!
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
OI OI OI!!!!!
AUSSIE!!!!
OI!!!!!!!!!
AUSSIE!!!!!!
OI!!!!!!!!
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!!!!!!!
OI OI OI!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah...what more can I say?
Actually....I can say lots =D.
I was heartbroken when Japan scored first in the 28th minute. It should've been a foul!! For the entire game I was just shouting "YOU SOCCEROOS ARE SUCH PANSIES! DON'T JUST STAND THERE...ATTACK! YOU MIDFIELDERS...GET A MOVE ON! DELIVER THE BALLS PROPERLY!! GAAAAAAARGH!" and I was so frustrated...
but then...
a miracle happened!
CAHILL SCORES!
YAY! TIE!
At that point it was good enough for me. I nearly lost all hope for Australia to win.
Wha wha wha?!
CAHILL SCORES AGAIN!
ONLY 2 MINUTES LEFT IN THE CLOCK! YAAAAAAAAAY! SURELY AUSTRALIA WINS! YES!!!!!!!! (This is where I scream and nearly lose my voice...)
*blinks...misses*
HOLY CRAP! ALOISI SCORES (and it was a bloody nice shot too...first class striker skillz!!!)!!!!!!!
OMFG! 3 GOALS IN THE LAST 8 MINUTES! THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH! (Screams like mad...streaks around the room...runs outside...goes to the oval...streaks there...celebrates like I'm the happiest person alive....)
Now I got a sore:
- throat from screaming...
- hands from clapping
- cheeks from smiling!!! =D =D =D
I CAN DIE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now...19th June.... Brazil vs Australia!! (Oh dear oh dear oh dear!) GOOD LUCK, SOCCEROOS!!

"History's against us.......STUFF HISTORY!"
"I TOLD YOU SO!"

Okay....that's all I can think of to say...I'm tired from all that jumping and running around (but so bloody happy!!!)

Time finished: 1:52am
Weather: Cold
Mood: Extrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeemely HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
